Driver Damages Gates At Sarasota High School: Report

SARASOTA, FL — A car struck three closed gates at Sarasota High School, causing $20,000 in damages, early Monday morning, the Observer reported.

Security footage from Monday show a white Ford Escape with dark tinted windows traveling south on School Avenue just after midnight, reports said. The vehicle drove through a closed gate on the property, opening it.

The SUV continued driving south on School Avenue, hitting two more closed gates before crossing the roadway. From there, it drove away, turning west on Bahia Vista Street, reports said.

A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
