Popular NYC Salad Chain Opens UTC-Area Location

SARASOTA-BRADENTON, FL — A New York City-based salad chain has opened in the University Town Center area.

Just Salad is located at 5231 University Pkwy., Unit 113, in Bradenton, in The Market at UTC Sarasota.

The location will celebrate its grand opening Sept. 9-12, the company’s website said.

Giveback Day will take place Sept. 9. For every in-store purchase made this day, Just Salad will donate $1 to Keep Manatee Beautiful.

The restaurant will then offer $5 chef-designed salads, wraps, warm bowls or market plates each day Sept. 10-12.

The healthy fast-casual brand serves salads, wraps, bowls, soups and smoothies. Diners can choose between chef-designed menu options and building their own dishes.

Founded in 2006, Just Salad now has more than 100 locations in eight states — Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania — and Washington, D.C.

There are about 30 locations in Florida, according to the chain’s website.

In addition to the UTC store, other locations coming soon in Florida include two restaurants in Naples and one in midtown Miami.

New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson joined the company earlier this summer as an equity owner and partner, according to a news release.
