Private Plane Crashes On Charlotte County Runway, No Injuries: Sheriff
There were no injuries reported after a private plane crashed on a runway at a private airport in Charlotte County, sheriff's office said.

PLACIDA, FL — There were no injuries reported after a private plane crashed Tuesday on a runway at a private airport in Charlotte County, authorities said.
The plane’s “improper landing” at Coral Creek Airport in Placida was caused by malfunctioning landing gear and a minor gas leak, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook post.
The two pilots aboard the aircraft were able to get off the plane uninjured, the agency said.

Charlotte County Fire Rescue/EMS responded to the scene . The Federal Aviation Administration has also been notified about the crash and will be involved in the investigation.
