Door hardware can be restored to revitalize the appearance of doorknockers, handles, knobs, pulls, hinges and even window accessories. Many customers bring hardware from Spain and Italy to have us re-plate after many years of use. The hardware that was made 50 or 100 years ago has a much longer life span than the hardware made today. Solid brass hardware can be refinished and is often done so. Spanish and Italian hardware is usually quality material, very durable and long lasting. Look for the SPAIN or ITALY stamp on these items when buying hardware; the projects that we re-plate have a more quality finish than you can buy in any hardware store you will find locally.

Our metal smith and polishers carefully sand each piece by hand or machine, use small instruments to get in the crevices. We plate using copper, nickel, silver, bronze, and can even create satin nickel, antique bronze… then to make the hardware have a long lasting new finish we ceramic coat the hardware for interior or exterior use. We also restore cabinet hardware and furniture hardware. Don’t replace that beautiful antique hardware, restore and keep some more!!!
