Sarasota Burglar Eats Sandwich, Drinks Milk, Steals Cash
Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying a burglar at Selby Botanical Gardens.
SARASOTA, FL -- Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying a burglar who gained access to the caf at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, 926 S. Palm Ave., Sarasota, on Oct. 23, at approximately 1:15 a.m.
A man, approximately 30 years of age, is seen on video wearing a white v-neck shirt, entering the caf after hours through an unknown point of entry. Once inside, he is seen on video rummaging through a cooler, removing and eating a sandwich, opening a jug of milk and drinking it and taking an unknown amount of cash from the register before leaving at approximately 1:35 a.m.
