Sarasota 'Drug House' Complaints Lead To Search Warrant, 2 Arrests
Police said cocaine, cash, marijuana and two guns were seized.
SARASOTA, FL - Two men were arrested, plus two guns, nearly $2,500, marijuana and cocaine confiscated, after a search warrant was served Thursday at a 40th Street house, which had generated neighborhood complaints of suspected drug activity and was within 1000 feet of a park, according to Sarasota police.
The Sarasota Police Department Narcotics Unit, with the assistance of the Street Crimes Unit, executed a search warrant at the house on the 1000 block of 40th Street -- an investigation stemming from complaints of drug sales from the residence, police said.
Arrested were a Sarasota man who lived at the home, Michael D. Humphrey, Jr., 33, and Najrangie P. Johnson, Jr., 19 of Bradenton.

Sarasota police said detectives seized 5.7 grams of rock cocaine, 325 grams of marijuana, $2,487 in U.S. currency and two firearms.
Humphrey was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine and marijuana with the intent to sell and within 1,000 feet of a park, obstruction of the execution of a search warrant and the violation of injunction for protection - the possession of a firearm, police said.

Johnson was arrested for suspected possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana less than 20 grams and a Manatee County warrant, the department said.
