SARASOTA, FL — As Sarasota Police continue to investigate a Friday crash on Fruitville Road, the pedestrian struck by a passing vehicle has died.Aaron Johnson, 41, of Sarasota was removed from life support on Sunday, the police department wrote in an email to media Monday.The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on New Year's at the intersection of Fruitville and Beneva roads.Police said Johnson was crossing the road when he was struck by a vehicle that had a green light. The driver, who has not been identified, was cooperative with investigators, the agency noted.The crash closed the intersection for several hours.The incident remains under investigation with no charges filed at this time.
