Sarasota Man Jailed After Admitting Frequent Self-Fondling

A 51-year-old Sarasota man faces indecent exposure charges after deputies say he was caught in a parking lot with his pants down.

The case against Gregory Gullifa began to unfold May 9 when a 19-year-old woman reported seeing a man in a blue Honda fondling himself in the parking lot at Sarasota Square Mall. The woman told mall security about the sighting and provided a vehicle description and tag number, a probable cause affidavit stated.

On Thursday, the same man was spotted fondling himself in the parking lot at 3750 Bee Ridge Road. When deputies caught up with the man, he admitted to both incidents, the report stated.

“At the Sheriff’s Office, Gullifa admitted to fondling himself in parking lots on a regular basis,” the report noted.

Gullifa was charged with indecent exposure Thursday. He was being held in lieu of $500 bond on Friday.
