Sarasota Man Sustains Critical Injuries In Single-Vehicle Crash

SARASOTA, FL -- A 35-year-old Sarasota man received critical injuries following a crash on Lackwood Ridge Road and Glenbrooke Drive.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 11:24 p.m., Jason Lee Moore was driving his Nissan Pathfinder north on Lockwood Ridge Road approaching Glenbrooke when he changed lanes abruptly to avoid slowed traffic ahead. He lost control and traveled into the southbound lanes, striking a raised median, a curb and then a tree. The SUV rebounded off the tree and struck a wooden power light pole.

He was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
