Sarasota Moped Operator Dies Following Crash
A 59-year-old Sarasota man has died of injuries he sustained in a crash while operating his moped Tuesday, Sept. 25.

SARASOTA, FL -- A 59-year-old Sarasota man has died of injuries he sustained in a crash while operating his moped Tuesday, Sept. 25.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Brian Kurt Bettis was driving his Acura moped on Bee Ridge Road and made a left turn onto Radnor Place into the path of a Hyundai Sonata driven by Elizabeth Sauceda, 24 of Sarasota.
Sauceda was treated for minor injuries. Bettis was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital where he died.
