Sarasota Police Investigate 2 Shootings Friday
Sarasota Police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred Friday, May 11.
SARASOTA, FL -- Sarasota Police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred Friday, May 11.
The first took place around 1:30 a.m. near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Pershing Avenue. Sarasota Police say a man was shot and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The shooter remains at large.
The second shooting occurred around 8 a.m. in the 1500 block of 20th Street. According to police, two men approached a third man and shot him twice in the leg. He was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with non-life -threatening injuries. The shooting does not appear to be random and police are continuing to search for the shooters.

Police are searching for the dark-colored car seen in the video.
