Shootout At Sarasota Apartment Complex Under Investigation: Police

SARASOTA, FL — Police are investigating a shootout that happened Wednesday night at a Sarasota apartment complex, authorities said.

The shooting happened at Greenway Apartments near the intersection of Greenway Drive and Midwest Parkway, the Sarasota Police Department shared in a Facebook post just before 10 p.m.

Investigators believe that people in two vehicles at the complex were “possibly shooting at each other,” the agency said.

There were no injuries reported, but a vehicle and two apartments were struck by bullets, police said. There are no suspects at this time.
