Small Gator Found At North Port Construction Site
Animal Control moved the gator from a pool of muddy water at the construction site to a more suitable home, the city said.

NORTH PORT, FL — Workers from the city of North Port’s Code Enforcement Division were surprised to find a small gator in a pool of muddy water at a construction site Wednesday morning.
“Although he was very content in his newfound bath, a construction site is no home for a growing gator,” the city wrote on its Facebook page.
The city’s Animal Control division was called in to relocate “the little guy” and to find him “a more suitable home,” the city said.
