St. Patty's Day Infographic Shows Irish-Inspired Dog Names

Sarasota Ranks Second in the U.S. for Most Green Related Pup Names

Saint Patrick is believed to have used the three-leaved green shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity to Irish pagans. Today, on the well celebrated St. Patty’s Day, the shamrock isn’t the only green you’ll see. In parades and parties throughout the country, there’s green clothing, green hats, green necklaces, green beer, and even a few green rivers. Some people took it to the next level, naming their beloved pups after the color green.

Rover.com, the nation’s largest network of dog lovers for hire, dug through its database and discovered pet parents all across America are finding Irish inspiration when it comes to naming their pooches. In fact, Sarasota ranks second in the country for the most dogs with green-inspired names! (Honolulu is the only city with more)
