Tennis Anyone? Courts Reopen At Arlington Park & Aquatic Complex
The tennis courts at Arlington Park & Aquatic Complex have been closed since December for a renovation project. They'll reopen Thursday.
SARASOTA, FL — The Arlington Park & Aquatic Complex outdoor tennis courts will reopen Thursday, the city said in a news release.
The courts have been closed since Dec. 14 while the city of Sarasota’s Parks and Recreation District updated the courts with a new synthetic/acrylic surface and new ultra-heavy duty polypropylene tennis nets.
The tennis courts are free for public use and open daily from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Arlington Park & Aquatic Complex is located at 2650 Waldemere Street in Sarasota. The park is open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., while the Aquatic Complex is open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

In addition to tennis, the park also offers residents and visitors a 50-meter lap pool, a 25-yard instructional pool, outdoor basketball courts, an outdoor fitness gym, a ½-mile walking trail, a dog park and a playground.
Tennis players can also find courts at:
- Gillespie Park, 710 N. Osprey Ave.
- Payne Park Tennis Center, 2050 Adams Lane
- Pioneer Park, 1260 12th Street
