Turner Tree and Landscape spruces up Goodwill donation center

Turner Tree and Landscape recently donated $7,000 worth of landscaping to beautify the Goodwill Manasota Donation Center at the intersection of Beneva Road and Webber Street in Sarasota. This gift not only helps to beautify the facility, it also is complementary to Goodwill’s commitment to green business practices.

“Goodwill Manasota does so much for this community and we enjoy supporting its mission whenever possible,” said Darrell Turner of Turner Tree and Landscape. “We believe that Goodwill’s efforts to help people secure jobs stimulate a stronger economy – Goodwill changes lives by removing the barriers to employment. That’s a mission we can get behind. We wanted to donate this landscaping to show our support in a way that was familiar to us; because of their eco-friendly practices, we are both making the community a little more green.”

“Darrell and the staff at Turner Tree and Landscape have been Goodwill Ambassadors for quite some time and they are helping us leave a legacy in a community they care about. They support our cause as we work to improve the lives of our neighbors,” said Bob Rosinsky, president and CEO at Goodwill Manasota. “The gift of the beautiful landscaping really showcases the commitment they have to helping us succeed. Last year, with the support of businesses like Turner Tree and Landscape and Goodwill Ambassadors like Darrell, we served 16,000 individuals and helped put over 500 people back to work.”
