NOKOMIS, FL -- The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two Venice men in connection with a robbery that occurred Saturday morning, July 28, in Nokomis.

According to the sheriff’s office, the manager of Sonny’s BBQ, 406 U.S. 41 Baypass N. in Venice, asked an acquaintance, 23-year-old William Shepherd, for a ride to work so he could collect the business’ receipts from the previous night and deposit them in the bank.
