Venice Man Faces 42 Child Porn-Related Charges: Sarasota County Sheriff

VENICE, FL — A Venice man was arrested twice after an online tip sparked an investigation into child pornography-related crimes, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Philip O. Radke, 38, was initially charged with two counts of transmission of child pornography on March 18 after deputies executed search and arrest warrants at a Golden Beach Boulevard home that day.

The investigation stemmed from a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) cyber tip and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation.

After the search warrant was executed, digital forensic lab examiners found additional child pornography images after analyzing electronic devices seized during the search, detectives said.

Investigators were also concerned about his possible communication of sexual abuse to children, the sheriff’s office said.

After Radke bonded out from his original arrest, he was taken into custody again on Wednesday and charged with 40 counts of felony possession of child pornography, SCSO said. He remains in custody at the county’s correctional facility without bond.
