VETERAN SARASOTA CONTRACTOR ANDY STULTZ LAUNCHES ATLAS BUILDING COMPANY

Atlas Building Company to manage a mix of public and private projects in Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte counties

Veteran contractor Andy Stultz today announced the launch of Atlas Building Company of Florida, LLC, a Sarasota-based commercial construction company.

“Our goal is to manage a mix of public and private projects in Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte counties,” said Stultz, who has more than a decade of commercial construction experience in the Gulf Coast market. “Our strong professional team, advanced technology, and great relationships with the building trades provide a solid foundation for delivering high-quality projects that exceed our clients’ expectation.”

As a LEED accredited professional (LEED AP) since 2008, Stultz understands clients’ desire for well-constructed, energy-efficient facilities with lower operating costs. “Our team at Atlas enjoys working with clients on either a design/build or construction management at risk basis and are also comfortable competing in the hard bid market,” he said. “We know that construction is a team sport, and having access to the experienced architects, subcontractors and suppliers is crucial for delivering projects on time at a fair price.”

A native of Indiana, Stultz earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and worked for GE Aircraft Engines in Cincinnati, before entering the real estate development industry in 2001. Five years later, Stultz and his wife Victoria sold the business and moved to Venice, where he entered the commercial construction field.

Stultz was the project manager on the $19 million Burns Court Villas townhomes in downtown Sarasota in 2006 before joining Halfacre Construction, where he rose quickly through the ranks from project manager, to project executive and vice president of business development.

“I have also taken on leadership roles in professional, civic and charitable organizations,” added Stultz, who has served as a board member of the Charlotte-Desoto Building Industry Alliance and President of the Enterprise Charlotte Economic Corporation. He is currently a member of the Bradenton Area Economic Development Council and a board member of the Sarasota Planning Commission.

Stultz has been also served on the board of the American Red Cross, and the Venice Advisory Boards of both the SKY Family YMCA and the Boys & Girls Club of Sarasota County.
