It’s often said timing is everything.
That seemed to be the case Monday for a tiny black kitten, a South Florida news crew and firefighters who were on the scene of the second brush fire to break out in recent days in the Miami-Dade area.

That tiny kitten was hiding inside a Modelo beer box when a firefighter came across it, the Palm Beach Post reported. WPLG reporter Roger Lohse was commenting on camera about the fire when the rescue unfolded behind him.
The kitten appeared to be in good health on the video. It also managed to find a home courtesy of the rescue.

“We’re going to put him back in the box, in the truck and he can go home with me,” a firefighter told Lohse as she cuddled the kitten.
The kitten’s timely rescue isn’t the only one to make headlines in the Sunshine State recently.
A firefighter in St. Petersburg was recently rewarded with big hugs after he swooped in to save a Jack Russell terrier from a burning home. A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputy also jumped out of her cruiser and into the mud to assist a calf that had become trapped near a Brandon lake.
Whether the kitten will be named “Six Pack” remains unclear, the Post pointed out.
