Women's Resource Center of Sarasota County collaborates with Women's Resource Center of Manatee County
The Women's Resource Center of Sarasota County and the Women's Resource Center of Manatee are announcing a new collaborative effort.

The Women’s Resource Center of Sarasota County (TheWomensResourceCenter.org) and the Women’s Resource Center of Manatee (WRCManatee.org), nonprofits with a shared and similar focus of providing programs and services to local women, are announcing a new collaborative effort.
The Women’s Resource Center of Manatee (WRCM) will work with the Women’s Resource Center of Sarasota County (WRCSC) on its fashion-focused nonprofit boutique, Encore & more Consignment Shop. WRCM will provide management oversight for the resale store located at 1439 Main St. in downtown Sarasota, solidifying the transition from a consignment store to an upscale fashion resale boutique.
“We are excited about the collaboration for Encore and more Consignment Shop,” says Jamie Aymerich, the board president of the WRCSC. “We will implement new and improved processes and procedures at the store.”

Becky Arpaia, who has managed the WRCM’s resale store, Unique Boutique, on 412 12th St. W. in Bradenton, for the past two years, will work with WRCSC to update Encore & more Consignment Shop. Encore & more Consignment Shop will be closed October 26 - 28 in order to implement the changes. A wine and cheese reception will be held Thursday, Oct. 29 from 4 – 7 p.m. to celebrate the grand reopening of the store.
“The collaboration at Encore and more Consignment Shop is just the first step for these two organizations,“ says Ashley Brown, the executive director of the WRCM. “The next effort will focus on program collaboration, specifically for the Displaced Homemakers grant, which serves women in both Sarasota and Manatee Counties. We are in the early planning stages of program collaboration, and we have a wonderful opportunity to improve efficiencies and bring the best possible programming to the women we serve.”
