Sarasota Police Seek Tips After 23rd Street Shooting, Attempted Robbery
Police said a suspect hiding near a Sarasota home fired multiple shots at a vehicle as a man pulled out of his driveway.
SARASOTA, FL — Sarasota police are investigating a Tuesday morning shooting tied to an attempted robbery in the city’s 1700 block of 23rd Street.
The suspect came out from hiding nearby and tried to rob a man who was pulling out of his driveway around 5:30 a.m., police said.
As the victim drove off, the suspect fired multiple shots at his vehicle. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described by police only as an unknown man or woman of unknown age.
They were last seen wearing dark clothing and running south from the area.
