  1. Better bring  the umbrella again. We've got a 40 percent chance of showers and the temperature won't get above 64 degrees.
  2. Seminole Heights' newest vintage furniture shop, Kaleidoscope for the Home, is having a today from 6 to 9 p.m. 
  3. At tonight's Tampa City Council evening meeting, members will hold a public hearing on proposed revisions to an on ordinance regarding community gardens. Members of the Seminole Heights Community Gardens Club are expected to speak.
  4. Get those Valentine's Day dinner reservations in at your favorite bistros and restaurants! The Refinery, 5137 N. Florida Ave., has prepared a special menu for the occasion.
  5. Fifteen years ago today, a computer beat world chess champion Gary Kasparove in the first of a six-game match. The computer, Deep Blue, was an IBM capable of evaluating 200 million moves per second. Ultimately, Kasparov beat the computer with three wins and two ties.
