• Sarasota County advances 5,700-home project near Palmer Ranch (yourobserver.com) — A massive 5,700-home Palmer Ranch East community with nearly 1.5 million square feet of commercial, office, and light industrial space is moving forward just east of I-75 and State Road 681 in south Sarasota County. County commissioners unanimously advanced the plan, which promises new jobs and business space, though full build-out and the town center hinge on upgrading the I-75 interchange.
