19-Year-Old Arrested For Shooting at Tampa Cops, Burglary: Police [UPDATE with Mugshot]
BREAKING: The incident occurred along North Central and East Floribraska avenues. Another suspect still at large, officials said.

TAMPA, FL – UPDATE: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22, 2:40 p.m.
Tampa police this morning arrested Israel Magwood, 19, in connection with a reported gunfire exchange with officers who were attempting a bicycle stop at 12:11 a.m. near the intersection of North Central and East Floribraska avenues.
Another suspect, reportedly involved, fled on foot and, despite a TPD Tactical Response Team search and lockdown of the area, was not located, police said. During the investigation, two guns were found at the scene, the agency said.

Magwood was charged with suspicion of burglary of an occupied dwelling, resisting an officer without violence, and loitering and/or prowling, but additional charges are pending as the investigation continues, police said.
The department said the incident began as a bicycle stop near the corner of Central and Floribraska where an officer spotted two men in dark clothing riding bikes with no lights in the front or back. The suspects ran off and one or both fired shots at an officer in pursuit, who in turn, fired back, officials said.

ORIGINAL POST: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22, 10:10 a.m.
One suspect is in custody and another is on the lam this morning following an exchange of gunfire between an officer and the subjects in Tampa, police said.
The Tampa Police Department said officers were conducting a traffic stop on a bicycle at 12:11 a.m. near the intersection of North Central and East Floribraska avenues when one or both suspects fired shots at the officers and fled on foot with one officer returning fire.
No injuries were reported.
The Tampa PD established a perimeter in an area north of Floribraska, shut down several blocks and did apprehend one suspect. The TPD Tactical Response Team searched the area, however the second suspect was not located, the department said.
The hunt is ongoing as police pursue leads.
The individual in custody will be identified after booking, police said.
