1 Man Dead, Another Wounded In Shooting On 22nd Street

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Wednesday in the 900 block of South 22nd Street.

Police were called at 6:14 p.m. after residents reported hearing shots fired. When they arrived, police found one man in his mid-40s dead of a gunshot wound. Minutes later, police were told that a second man, also in his mid-40s, had been driven to the hospital with a gunshot wound that wasn't life-threatening.

Detectives are trying to determine exactly what took place.
