11-Year-Old Boy Shot On Front Porch Of Tampa Home: Police
Investigators are looking for info about the suspect who shot the child, who was standing on his front porch, Tampa police said.
TAMPA, FL — Investigators are looking for information about the suspect who shot an 11-year-old boy standing on his front porch Sunday night, according to a Tampa Police Department news release.
The child was standing on his porch in the C. Blythe Andrews Apartments, 2201 E. Osborne Ave., just before 10:30 p.m. when he was shot.
He was brought to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
"Our thoughts are with this family as this senseless act has left an innocent child in our community injured," Chief Lee Bercaw said. "Our officers are committed to identifying the person responsible and holding this individual accountable. I believe that with the assistance of our community, we can bring this family the justice they deserve."
