121 Child Porn Charges Filed Against Tampa Man: Sheriff

TAMPA, FL — A Tampa man was arrested Wednesday on 121 child porn-related charges, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office shared in a social media post.

After an investigation into child sexual abuse material being distributed online, deputies with the HCSO Internet Predator Unit served a search warrant at a Tampa home just before 8 a.m. that day.

Detectives found and arrested the suspect, Ariel Brito Ponce, 31.

During the search, they found hundreds of files across multiple electronic devices and messaging platforms, deputies said.

Ponce was charged with 100 counts of solicitation or possession of child pornography (10 or more images and content of images) and 21 counts of in-state transmission of child pornography by electronic device.
