14-Year-Old Shot Another Teen After Fight Near Bus Stop: Tampa Police
A 14-year-old boy was arrested after shooting another teen following a fight near an Armenia Ave. bus stop, Tampa police said.
TAMPA, FL — A 14-year-old boy was arrested after shooting another teenager Jan. 26 following a fight near a bus stop, according to a Tampa Police Department news release.
The teen shot a 16-year-old just before 4 p.m. in the 8600 block of N. Armenia Avenue.
Though the agency released the suspect’s name, it’s Patch’s policy to not name those charged in the juvenile court system. It’s not clear whether the boy was charged as a juvenile or an adult.

Witnesses told officers that the shooting happened after the two boys got into a fight.
Video captured at the scene showed the suspect chasing the victim with a gun in his hand, police said.

The teen was charged with aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony with a weapon, attempted murder in the first-degree, aggravated battery with great bodily harm or deadly weapon, carrying a concealed firearm, and minor in possession of a firearm.
