170 Truckloads Of Dirt Poised To Drop On Amalie Arena Floor
The hockey arena is being transformed for the seventh round of the AMSOIL Arenacross.

TAMPA, FL — An estimated 3,000 tons of dirt will cover Amalie Arena’s floor following the Thursday Lightning matchup against the Winnipeg Jets.
Lightning team members aren’t throwing in the towel on another run for the Stanley Cup though. The 170 truckloads of dirt are required to transform the Tampa arena for the Saturday and Sunday AMSOIL Arenacross. The super cross event is set for a 7 p.m. Saturday start with more races scheduled for noon on Sunday.
Tickets on Saturday, which is professional racing day, start at $10 and go up to $50 for level one seating. Tickets for Sunday’s Amateur Day are $10. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.

Fans who want to attend Saturday’s pre-race track party will find tickets are $10 at the box office. Entry will also be granted to those who bring an empty can of Monster Energy and a paid entrance ticket for the races. The track party starts at 5 p.m. Saturday.
