$2 Gas Possible For the Holidays
AAA Auto Club South says prices in Florida could dip below the $2-mark by year's end.

Tampa Bay area motorists likely have noticed a nice development at the gas pump over the past few weeks. The price of fuel has dropped more than 22 cents in the last month, edging closer to the $2-mark.
AAA Auto Club South anticipates those falling prices will continue with the possibility for fill-ups costing less than $2 a gallon by the end of the year.
The falling gas prices are due largely to the low price of oil at the moment. Last week, the cost per barrel fell below $40 for a brief time, AAA noted in a media release.

“After Labor Day we normally see a drop in gasoline demand as we head out of the busy summer driving season,” AAA spokesman Josh Carrasco said. “A decline in demand, refineries switching to winter-blend fuels and falling oil prices should cause a continued drop in price of gas. If there are no major supply disruptions, we could see some stations in the southeast selling $2 a gallon gas this fall.”
The average current price of gas in the Sunshine State is $2.38 a gallon, which is the lowest since February, AAA reported. Gas prices have fallen by about 20 cents in the last month in Florida.
