2 Underage Kittens Stolen From Humane Society Of Tampa Bay

The Humane Society of Tampa Bay hopes to find the man and woman who stole two underage kittens from its nursery.

TAMPA, FL — Two underage kittens, Mitch and Marcus, were “brazenly” stolen Thursday from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay’s shelter in Tampa, the organization wrote in a Facebook post.

“A young woman and man” entered the shelter and took the animals from the off-limits kitten nursery, the Humane Society wrote. “They scouted out the two kittens they wanted from outside the room, then snuck in, took them and shoved them into their backpacks before quickly leaving.”

The woman wore a light gray zip-up hoodie, a winter hat, a Totoro backpack, black leggings, and black and white Nikes.

The organization, which plans to press charges if the thieves can be identified, said it’s “deeply concerned for (the kittens’) well-being.
