2014 Southern Living Showcase Home Thank You

Well, the Southern Living Showcase Home has ended. It’s both a proud and sad moment for me. After months of work, I look back at a home that was fantastic in both its architectural design, as well as interior design & furnishings. It was a huge success with over 3,000 visitors which allowed us to raise $15,000 for our non-profit partners. The sad part is seeing it end, but that’s balanced by knowing that a great family will soon be moving in and enjoying the home.

There are too many people that need to be thanked, but first I want to thank everyone who attended the Showcase home. Many of you came from the Tampa Bay area, but an amazing number traveled great distances outside the state of Florida. Without your visits and wonderful feedback, this event wouldn’t have been such a hit.

I also want to thank our great partners. Without you this would not have been impossible. With over 60+ partners assisting with various aspects of the home and event, your products and services allowed the Showcase to be so special. Thank you for allowing us to highlight the best the area has to offer. You were all exceptional.

Lastly, I’d like to thank our staff at Javic Homes. You’d think this would be a walk in the park, but putting on an event of this magnitude was a huge accomplishment and I’m super proud of our entire team. I’d particularly like to thank Paul Harrop who was the Construction Manager; Missi McCombs who led the interior design; and Jessica Hohman who led all aspects of the marketing and event management.
