4 Dead, 2 Injured After Stolen Car Crashes Following Police Chase

Four people are dead and two injured following an early-morning police chase that ended with the crash of a stolen car.

TAMPA, FL — Four people are dead and two injured following an early-morning police chase that ended with the crash of a stolen car.

According to Tampa Police, at 2:39 a.m. Wednesday, Tampa Police spotted a stolen Nissan Altima at North Dale Mabry Highway and East Kennedy Boulevard. Officers attempted to pull the car over but the driver fled at a high rate of speed.

A pursuit that lasted less than two minutes ensued and then the car crashed on West Cypress Street just west of Reo Street.

Officers pulled two people out of the car and rendered aid while fellow officers attempted to extract the four people from the car.

Tampa Fire Rescue arrived and pronounced the four people in the car dead.
