4 Injured In Shooting Near Armature Works: Tampa Police
A Tuesday afternoon shooting that left four people injured near Armature Works is under investigation, Tampa police Chief Lee Bercaw said.

TAMPA, FL — A Tuesday afternoon shooting that left four people injured near Armature Works is under investigation, Tampa police Chief Lee Bercaw said during a news conference.
The gunfire erupted in the 1900 block of N. Ola Avenue just after 4 p.m.
Three people were shot and a fourth victim “may or may not have been hit by a bullet,” Bercaw said. None of them have life-threatening injuries.

The chief called the shooting “a disturbance that quickly erupted unnecessarily into gunfire.”
He added, “That’s extremely disappointing because we’re in a family environment here where people come to relax and enjoy their day, myself even on my day off.”

Tampa police are working with the state attorney’s office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Investigators have collected some video evidence from the shooting. Bercaw asked other potential witnesses who might have recorded the incident on their cell phone to share these recordings with police.
