92-Year-Old Tampa Man Accused Of Shooting Elderly Woman

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are investigating an early-morning shooting in which a 92-year-old man is accused of shooting an elderly woman.

Tampa police responded to a report of a shooting at a home in the 1600 block of East Mulberry Drive at 6:45 a.m. Officers arrived and found an elderly woman with two gunshot wounds.

Detectives say the couple was heard arguing for an extended period before the shooting. Walter Kelly was taken into custody and charged with domestic violence and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

The woman is listed in stable condition at a local hospital.
