UPDATE: Computer Issue That Slowed Florida Air Traffic Resolved: FAA
Officials are "working toward safely returning to a normal traffic rate in the Florida airspace," the FAA said.
TAMPA, FLA. — The volume of traffic into Florida airspace was slowed down due to an air traffic computer issue that was resolved, the Federal Aviation Administration said Monday evening.
The administration told Patch the computer issue was resolved around 4:51 p.m. and officials were "working toward safely returning to a normal traffic rate in the Florida airspace."
At around 3 p.m., a Tampa International Airport spokesman told Patch that officials were seeing 139 delays.
