Amalie Arena Ranks Among World's Best
The Tampa arena was ranked No. 5 by Venues Today magazine.

While the Tampa Bay Lightning battle it out on the ice to prove their world-class standing, the arena they call home is also earning its own international accolades.
Venues Today magazine recently ranked the Amalie Arena No. 5 for ticket sales in venues that seat 15,001 or more. The rankings were based on sales for concerts, events and family shows from March 16-April 15, 2015, the arena noted in a media release.

- Bridgestone Arena - Nashville
- American Airlines Center - Dallas
- The Forum - Inglewood, California
“We were very proud to host such a strong run of events in March and April of 2015, welcoming many notable acts including: the world famous Harlem Globetrotters, Eric Church, the NCAA’s Women’s Final Four, The Who with special guests, 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and 98ROCKFEST,” Elmer Straub, vice president of booking for the arena said in the release. “That’s only the beginning, there are more great events in the coming months.”
Other Top 10 winners includes Los Angeles’ Staples Center, Atlanta’s Philips Arena, Montreal’s Olympic Stadium, Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium and Belgium’s Ethias Arena.
