Audio linked to Tampa mafia family unearthed after 70 years (baynews9.com) — A water leak at a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office facility unexpectedly uncovered 1950s case files and rare audio tied to efforts to prosecute Tampa's infamous Trafficante mafia family. The sheriff's office partnered with the University of South Florida to preserve the interrogation recordings and documents, which will now be available at the USF Library for public research and teaching about local history and policing.
