A Mulberry man was arrested after a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Friday on State Road 60 near Clarence Gordon Jr. Road.
Investigators said a GMC Sierra driven by 59-year-old Santiago Ruiz Rangel was exiting a private driveway and traveling south when it entered the path of a westbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The truck struck the motorcycle, killing the driver at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as a 44-year-old Bartow man.
Troopers arrested Ruiz Rangel on a charge of DUI manslaughter and took him to the Hillsborough County Jail. Authorities said his blood alcohol concentration was 0.170, more than twice Florida's legal limit of 0.08.
The crash remains under investigation.
