Officers responded to the home in the 3500 block of N. 15th St. during the early morning hours and found a woman in her mid-20s dead from a gunshot wound.

A 51-year-old man, identified as Armario Gilbert, was also found at the home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. He died shortly afterward.

Evidence gathered by detectives indicates Gilbert and the woman knew each other ,and that he shot her before taking his own life, investigators said.

The woman's three minor children were also found unharmed inside the home.

Victim advocates are working to connect the children with support services.
