WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — A 19-year-old man was arrested after leading troopers on a high-speed chase, reaching speeds of 130 mph at times, across Interstate 275 before crashing into two vehicles, according to multiple reports. (Watch a video from the chase below.)

The chase started in Pinellas County late Saturday night after a trooper tried to catch up with the driver of a black Chevrolet Corvette, later identified as Yaseen Algmaiee of Wesley Chapel, who was speeding north on I-275, Fox 13 reported.

Algmaiee was spotted speeding again later on the interstate in Hillsborough County, according to Tampa Bay 28. He flashed his headlights at other drivers to get them to move out of the way.

He accelerated and fled when a trooper activated his emergency lights and siren near mile marker 47, reports said.

As the pursuit continued on the highway, Algmaiee took the exit ramp for State Road 56 in Wesley Chapel, WFLA said.

While changing lanes on SR-56, Algmaiee tried to squeeze between two cars, but hit both, reports said.

The trooper then conducted a PIT maneuver, bringing the chase to a stop.

Algmaiee was charged with aggravated fleeing to elude and hit-and-run with property damage, reports said. He was booked into Hillsborough County Jail.
