GrillSmith Launches Gluten-Free Menu

GrillSmith (http://www.grillsmith.com), a refined-casual, chef-inspired restaurant concept that specializes in innovative and creative interpretations of classic American dishes is introducing a gluten-free menu in partnership with the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG).

“Considering one in 100 Americans has celiac disease, our guests have requested gluten-free options, so we worked with GIG to provide a gluten-free menu for our guests," said Joe Guli, corporate chef for GrillSmith Restaurants. "With GIG’s help, we are able to provide safe choices for guests affected by gluten intolerance.”

GIG analyzed GrillSmith’s menu, products and ingredients by checking labels and nutritional facts to determine items that contained gluten, a protein found in wheat, rye and barley, and then advised accordingly. GrillSmith has implemented special procedures to prevent cross-contamination when preparing gluten-free dishes.

GrillSmith’s gluten-free menu features more than 25 dishes including:

  • Starters and small plates such as Voodoo Shrimp and Grilled Chicken Lettuce Wraps.
  • Salads including Napa Valley and Gorgonzola Steak Wedge.
  • Entrees like Lemon Feta Chicken, the GrillSmith Burger, Oak Barrel Salmon and Fitness Grilled Chicken.
  • Steaks such as Filet Mignon and Chimichurri Steak.
  • Desserts including the Chocolate Decadence and Grand Marnier Crème Brûlée.
