Beacon At JW Marriott Offers Elevated Dining Experience
Beacon takes advantage of its 27th-floor views of downtown Tampa and the waterfront.
TAMPA, FL — Beacon, the much-anticipated, Tampa’s newest rooftop lounge and cocktail destination on the 27th floor of the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street, is now serving craft cocktails and gourmet bites amidst the elegant designs of internationally renowned interior design firm AvroKO.
“During the early planning stages for our hotel, we set out to accomplish something extraordinary in Tampa,” said Ron McAnaugh, general manager at JW Marriott Tampa Water Street. “With the opening of Beacon, we feel we’ve achieved that goal and more. We have not only introduced luxury to Tampa but have also raised the bar on hospitality, elevating our offerings and providing our guests an exquisite array of dining experiences that cater to every palate.”

Beacon's vibrant space includes several lounge areas: an outdoor terrace, a signature bar and a variety of intimate seating spaces. The signature bar space was conceived as the heart of the Beacon experience, with an impressive canopy feature for guests and locals to mix and mingle.
The Sidecar is its own unique bar experience, taking cues from the design and craftsmanship of Florida train travel in the past. Meanwhile, lush plantings blur the boundaries between interior and exterior on the expansive outdoor terrace, taking full advantage of Beacon’s 27th-floor views and making it the second-highest rooftop dining venue in Florida.
Visitors to Beacon can enjoy an array of well-curated offerings, featuring seasonal flavors and local ingredients. Expertly crafted by Sous Chef Roy Bryant and an award-winning mixology team, Beacon’s dishes and craft cocktails will be as elevated as the views.
Guest favorite cocktails will include the Zalamero, concocted from Don Fulano Reposado Tequila and Galliano Espresso liqueur, and The Rising Sun, featuring notes of sesame and yuzu intertwined with roku Japanese gin and pineapple.
Patrons will also enjoy an extensive food selection, including house-baked tartines topped with crème fraiche, caviar and smoked salmon, or artisanal charcuterie selections prepared in the exposition kitchen along the north side of the main bar.
Beacon is open Monday and Thursday from 5 p.m. to midnight; Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.; Sunday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and closed Monday and Tuesday.
