'Big Brother' Star Arrested By Hillsborough County Sheriff

TAMPA, FL -- One of the stars of the reality TV show, "Big Brother,"spent election day in the custody of Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies.
Christmas Abbott, 36, a fitness model who appeared on the 19th season of the CBS series, surrendered herself to the sheriff's office on an active warrant for felony criminal mischief at 2 p.m. Nov. 6.
The charges stem from an incident on Aug. 18 at the Cigar City Crossfit, 1703 N. 24th St., Tampa, when Abbott was pregnant with her son, Loyal Atticus Abbott.

According to police reports, Abbott went to the gym that's co-owned by Benjamin Bunn, the father of her baby, and drove her Mercedes SUV into a Honda hat she said belonged to a woman with which Bunn had a relationship. The case was filed with the state attorney's office and Abbott was subsequently charged with criminal mischief amounting to more than $1,000.
She turned herself into the sheriff's office Nov. 6, a month after giving birth on Oct. 8.

Abbott, who lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she also owns a Crossfit gym, was released on her own recognizance less than an hour later and never occupied a jail cell.
