Brunswick HS wrestlers excell at Jacksonville FL meet

Head Coach Tom Bartolotta and Assistant Coach Lawrence Insalaco were very pleased with the effort of the Brunswick High School wrestlers at the Keystone Wrestling Tourney held at Fleming Island High School in Fleming Island Florida on January 3rd and 4th.

Trent Burke (106) won the tournament along with Jeremiah Dawson (132) and William Abbott (285) while Peter Mckinney (120) was very strong in a very competitive weight class.

The Brunswick team is 26-3 and ranked 9th in the state of Georgia. The coaches especially proud of their Class of 2020 wrestlers: Demonta Pitts (126) State Qualifier, Ryne Buckley (182) 2X State Qualifier and Jordan Prado (145).

Coaches Bartolotta and Insalaco wanted to recognize the efforts of the entire roster of wrestlers in 2019 and into 2020. The team consists of Trent Burke 106, Ian Deloney 113, Peter Mckinney 120, Demonta Pitts 126, Marcus Norman 126, Jeremiah Dawson 132, Cameron Crump 138, Jordan Prado 145, Blake Ethridge 145, Kobe Hill 152, Leon Charlton 160, Tre Elvine 170, Amari Mangram 170, Ryne Buckley 182, Staffon Stanley 195, Anthony Batista 220, William Abbott 285.
