Catering By The Family Giving Away 100 Pans Of Pasta Friday
From noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Catering By The Family is giving away 100 pans of pasta, with a choice of meat or meatless sauce.

TAMPA, FL — As the demand for groceries rises and people are having difficulty feeding their families due to the coronavirus pandemic, a local catering company is lending a hand.
From noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Catering By The Family is giving away 100 pans of pasta, with a choice of meat or meatless sauce. The food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at CBTF’s warehouse at 2322 W. Cypress St., Tampa.
“For 42 years, the community has been there for us, and now it’s time for us to be there for them," CBTF owner Steven Gonzalez Sr. said. "Food is what I do; it’s all I know. And I want to give it to people who can’t afford it.”

This is just one of the ways that CBTF has been working to help feed Tampa Bay. Earlier in the week, Gonzalez delivered free hot meals and sandwiches to the first responders at the Tampa Police Department, the Emergency Operations Center in Ybor City and Tampa Fire Rescue so they could focus on the public's safety without worry about meals.
CBTF also hosted a blood drive this week after hearing there is a critical need for blood.

In addition to charitable efforts, CBTF has created a special menu of family favorite meals, including lunch and dinner options, available for pickup or delivery. Many of the meals are freezer-friendly.
