CHEDDAR'S SCRATCH KITCHEN BRINGS SCRATCH-MADE GOODNESS TO LAKELAND

From savory smoked ribs to melt-in-your-mouth croissants, each taste is scratch-made

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, full-service casual dining restaurant officially opened its doors to its new Lakeland location at 3411 S. Florida Avenue, March 24 at 11:00 a.m. The restaurant is over 8,000 square feet, seats approximately 285 guests and features a scratch-made menu, including favorites like hand-battered onion rings, house-smoked baby back ribs, savory Santa Fe Spinach Dip and Cheddar’s Legendary Monster Cookie.

“We are proud to open our doors to the Lakeland community for a scratch-made meal experience,” said Matthew Ratliff, Managing Partner, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen Lakeland. “We’re excited to bring approximately 200 jobs to the community and for our new hires to join the Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen team. Our team members are an integral part of ensuring our guests have the best scratch dining experience.”

Ratliff was appointed managing partner of Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen Lakeland. “We’re thrilled to have someone of Ratliff’s caliber and experience to lead this new location. He comes to us with 20 years of experience in the casual dining sector,” said Ian Baines, President CEO of Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. “We believe that our Lakeland guests will feel Matthew’s passion for good food and quality time with family when they visit their new Cheddar’s location.”

The Lakeland location features a scratch kitchen that spans over 3,500 square feet and is staffed by twice the number of cooks working in most restaurant kitchens. This spacious workshop is the heart of the restaurant where the true craftsmanship of scratch cooking comes to life as individual meals are prepared for each guest’s enjoyment.

Each Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, led by Chef Robert Pesch, showcases an endless passion for culinary innovation and excellence. Whether it’s early morning preparation to smoke savory ribs for a minimum of six hours, or individually crafting each homemade chicken pot pie, the Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen team has the culinary expertise to skillfully prepare scratch-made meals that makes each guest feel valued.

The location is open from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
