Christmas Week Storms On The Horizon

The good news is that Tampa Bay's weekend kicks off with sunshine.

Those hoping for some outdoor fun as the holiday week nears might want to get out and enjoy Tampa Bay’s sunshine while they can.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a nice start to the weekend with sunshine and highs in the 70s anticipated both Friday and Saturday.

That forecast, however, begins to change on Sunday when there’s a 30 percent chance of showers during the daytime hours. The evening brings a 60 percent chance of storms. Those storm chances continue into the workweek when forecasters say there’s a strong possibility of rain Monday through Wednesday.
