GŪD Essence Clearwater to Host a Wellness Event Series this August

GŪD Essence, the Black woman-owned cannabis and wellness brand founded by Jasmine Johnson, is hosting a monthly wellness event series at the new Clearwater location to educate the local community and spotlight small businesses. August will feature a special MiRAjO Vision Board Workshop on Aug. 19 and the Waves of Harmony Sound Bath on Saturday, Aug. 22.

More than just a dispensary, GŪD Essence is building a cultural movement rooted in education, empowerment and holistic healing. Guests can explore premium cannabis products, ask questions and connect with local vendors in a welcoming space designed for real conversations about wellness.

Backed by a research-driven cultivation team, GŪD Essence delivers science-backed cannabis solutions that improve quality of life for patients and consumers across Florida. These events reflect the brand's patient-first approach and commitment to bringing healing, equity and opportunity to the communities it serves.

Whether new to cannabis or a seasoned enthusiast, there's something for everyone. Come for the education, stay for the community and leave feeling GŪD.

GŪD Yoga guided by SmokenYoga | Second and Fourth Friday of Each Month, from 7 to 8 p.m. 
GŪD Yoga offers a deeply grounding yoga session. Sessions are led by Neidara Mathies (SmokenYoga), who has been teaching for over 14 years. Yogis will flow through a specially curated playlist and leave feeling balanced, centered, and completely renewed. This event is BYOW (Bring Your Own Wellness) format, and yoga mats and water are provided. All class attendees will receive exclusive in-store discounts.

  • Cost: $5
  • Recurrence: Second and fourth Friday of each month, from 7 to 8 p.m. 

MiRAjO Vision Board Workshop| Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. 
The community is invited to a two-hour guided vision board workshop, MiRAjO Collective: Go Back to Go Forward, with Founder and CEO of MiRAjO Collective, Miranda Johnson. The guided experience starts by looking back, not to relive the past, but to identify the words that have quietly been shaping their life without their permission. Then it moves forward, replacing those old words with new ones, and building a visual plan around them. Attendees will leave with a vision board that isn't just pretty; it's intentional.

What to Expect:

  • Meditation (opening): Guests will ground themselves and get quiet before they get creative.
  • Timeline Review: A guided look back at the words that have followed them, the labels, the things said, so they can see clearly what they're keeping and what they're releasing.
  • Vision Board Building: Hands-on time with images, words, and materials to build the board around where they're headed, not where they've been.
  • Intention Setting (closing): The event closes by naming, out loud, the new words and direction guests are claiming.

 What's Included: 
All supplies are provided: boards, magazines, images, word cutouts, glue, scissors, and everything else needed to build a vision board. What to Bring: Guests are welcome to bring a few personal items from home that are meaningful to them, photos, small mementos, a favorite quote, or anything they'd like included on the board.

Waves of Harmony Sound Bath Experience | Saturday, Aug. 22, from 7 to 8 p.m. 
The community is invited to step into a transformative sound bath experience designed to soothe the nervous system, calm the mind, and restore balance, guided by Fofi.  Fofi is passionate about using the power of sound and music to help people feel more grounded, connected, and whole. With a unique blend of compassion, knowledge, and creativity, she creates safe, nurturing spaces where individuals can explore healing through sound. This experience invites attendees to reconnect, release energetic tension, and align the mind, body and spirit. This experience is open to all levels and has no prerequisite experience. Admission includes mats and pillows, but attendees are welcome to bring their own.

The Clearwater store, which debuted in November 2025, is the first step in the company's Florida expansion. In 2026, GŪD Essence is projected to open flagship dispensaries in Jacksonville, Orlando and Miami, with a broader goal of reaching 20 dispensaries statewide over the next two years. All projected openings remain subject to regulatory approval and permitting processes.
